Feed & treatment
One row per treatment — each records how many colonies got it. Pick Alcohol wash to log a mite test: hives tested + mites found. The yard's mite status uses the average across all tests (3+ needs attention, 1–2 watch).
💀 Dead-outs, splits & yard total
Record dead-outs & splits first — the yard total below adjusts automatically, then condition & brood must match it.
New splits you made here today.
How many bank queens you put in here — not always the same as splits.
💀 Record dead-outs if you had them. If not, you can leave it blank.
Other movements (moved, purchased, sold, combined, weather)
Add a movement, say how many hives, and add another if there was more than one.
—
Calculated from the last count and what you recorded above. Not typed by hand.
Yard grade (this visit)
🟢 Good resources for the bees (nectar/pollen) coming in — better than most yards.
🟡 Holding — enough resources to sustain the colonies.
🔴 No resources — bees are consuming reserves or need water. Add a recommendation below (move, provide water, etc.).

Colony Survey / ELAP Summary
Splits, losses & end-of-month colonies, by month and state.
Loading…
Unmatched yards — assign a state
Yards on inspections that aren't in the yard master. Point each at a state until it's added.
End-of-month counts are computed via End = Start + splits + additions − losses, anchored to current on-hand (SUM yards.hives). No month-end snapshot is stored. Losses: ELAP losses table (source of truth). Splits: inspections. Per-state colonies are shown only for single-state months; transition months are marked “Mixed — allocate manually.”

Colony count by county at each month-end. The current month ties to today's stored yard counts (3,725 total). Earlier months are reconstructed from the dated ledger — purchases, splits, dead-outs, failed splits and moves — so you can see exactly where colonies enter or leave each county.

County board
One month, by county
What the crews recorded THAT month, grouped by each yard's county. Tap a county for the yards inside it, then a yard for each individual inspection — or switch to By yard for every yard ranked. Queen-bank yards and issue-only reports are left out (R27). Splits are net of failed splits, the same reading as the dashboard tile.

ELAP payment estimate & receivables
Planning estimate. Each month's payment = eligible colonies × FSA value per colony × payment factor. 2026 rates (FSA Notice ELAP-27): $130 per colony (BEFORE the factor) and 15% normal mortality (statutory, One Big Beautiful Bill Act). The 90% beginning-farmer factor is applied separately on top. The "base" is your total colony count — normal mortality (15%) is deducted from that. Everything is editable per year. The balance is the money still out there. Always confirm final figures with your FSA office.
